Preserving History & Enriching Experiences
Making A Difference
We believe Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park is more than a historic landmark—it’s a place where history comes alive, where community and connection matter, and where every visitor can discover something about themselves.
The Gold Discovery Park Association (GDPA) works to bridge the gap between what the State can provide and what the park truly needs. While the state provides essential support, its resources are often restricted. That’s where GDPA steps in.
Through unrestricted funding, we can invest directly in what matters most: creating memorable visitor experiences, funding educational programs, engaging the community, and ensuring the preservation of this remarkable site.
Beyond our daily work, we are also leading larger-scale projects, fueled by grants and generous donors, to protect historic structures and expand opportunities for learning and connection. With every contribution, we bring the park’s legacy to life—and safeguard it for future generations.
If you feel called to contribute, please take a look at our current projects.
