Thursday, December 3, 2026 From 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park
Location: Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park - Coloma, CA 95613
Join us at Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park, the site of California's historic gold discovery, for a morning of habitat restoration along the scenic South Fork of the American River! Using hand tools such as hori horis and shovels, volunteers will help remove invasive plants, including common mullein, rose campion, horehound, and Scotch broom, from the historic Coloma townsite. Your efforts will help create more space for native plants and support the health of the park's habitat. While poison oak is present in the park, our project area will avoid it. Ages 10 and older are welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult and bring a waiver signed by their guardian).
Full opportunity address and directions will be sent to you by e-mail after you sign up.
